The thief who steals your passion.. - Depression

Do you feel sad all the time? Feeling like you are not worthy and nobody loves you?Do you get angry with the ones you love over nothing? The activities once you were passionate about means nothing to you now? Feeling like all the energy in your body has drained? Chances are you might be suffering from depression.
Often people misunderstand depression as sadness, but it is a serious medical illness which is treatable. Environmental factors, genetics, personality and biochemistry can contribute to depression. Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and sometimes other diseases can mimic the symptoms of depression too. Some of the symptoms of depression are,
  • Feeling sad all the time
  • Loss of interest of the activities previously enjoyed
  • Changes in appetite
  • Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
  • Feeling worthless
  • Having ideas about suicide always
  • Difficulty in concentration and critical thinking
It is important to seek medical attention if you or one of your loved ones is having not only depression, but also any of mental health complications. We tend to hide our mental health problems and it will only make it worsen with time. So it is time to spread awareness that just like our body gets sick, our mind gets sick too and we should get treated.

If you have a family member or a loved one who is having depression you may have noticed the change in their behavior and it maybe feeling difficult to live with them. You always have to keep in mind that it's not them yelling at you, but their depression. A person with depression would do anything to make it go away coz just like its for you, its a burden for him/her. And it is not something they can control. So when they are being mean to you just do not feel upset about it and try to think from their perspective. They'll yell at you, scream at you, but deep down they love you alot. If you are leaving the person when they need you the most (they won't admit that they need you or anyone) you have to rethink whether you love the person for real or not. It is difficult for them as much as it is difficult for you, but be patient and wait..The spring will come soon and you'll be happy about the sacrifices you made and the commitment you had. Good luck everybody !!

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
