Fibonacci sequence..

Seeds are in Fibonacci spirals

I came across this sequence twice and both were in novels,the famous novel "Da vinci code". and "The Last Theorem" by Sir Arthur C. Clark. They used this sequence to unlock a safe in Da vindi code. As a person of science I wanted to know more and the discovery amazed me. From rabbit breeding to sunflower seeds,to hurricane and galaxies... all are about Fibonacci sequence. So let's get to know what is this magical sequence..
First let me introduce the one who found this sequence..it's Fibonacci,an Italian mathematician and also called the most talented western mathematician in middle ages. He also helped to spread Hindu Arab numerical system in Europe. In 19th century a statue of Fibonacci was built in Pisa. There's a Fibonacci day also..That's 23rd of November.It's a part of the sequence.. (1 1 2 3)

I think you already guessed the pattern correctly..All you have to do is to add two numbers. Next number can be obtained by adding the two numbers before it. Let me  show an example.

0  +  1  = 1                                 0  1  1
1  +  1  = 2                                 0  1   1  2
1  +  2  = 3                                 0  1   1  2  3

Like that it continues..

What's more amazing is when we make squares using the numbers as widths, we get a perfect spiral. Let me show you..

Also any two successive fibonacci numbers have a ratio close to the golden ratio. (Golden ratio is 1/phi and it was used by ancient greeks.) Fibonacci first explained rabbit breeding using the sequence,but with time fibonacci sequence has influenced many of the discoveries in human history.Architecture, Finance, Music,Cinema, Literature and it even appears in some TV dramas.
