My person - Meine Liebe

"He walked into my heart like he always belonged there, took down my walls and lit my soul on fire..."
Well the people who knows me knows my person too.(He was my anonymous 08 back in 2016.) I'm not wrong if I tell you he is the living Sheldon Cooper. The arrogant theoretical physicist who hates mediocre lifestyles and stupidity. Me and my friends literally almost died laughing seeing the similarities between the them once we started watching the show. It's surprisingly and hilariously similar. Actually he's not the nerd people think he is. He plays guitar, can dance some dances which he made by himself (well my attempt to teach him waltz failed once he started stepping on my shoes.. maybe I'm a bad teacher.. who knows..) and he's fun to hang around with. So the reason I'm writing here today about him, is actually coz I miss him so badly. 🙈

He got selected to 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting dedicated to Physics. He also became the First Sri Lankan undergraduate to get selected to Nobel Laureate meetings and the first Sri Lankan ever to participate for it. So for people who has no idea what that is let me explain you about it. Lindau Nobel laureate meetings are dedicated to three natural science Nobel prize disciplines; Physics, Physiology and Medicine and Chemistry. Each year they focus on one discipline and around 40 Nobel laureates and 600 Phd students, post doctoral researchers and undergraduates from all over the world get to meet them and have their guidance. So there is a huge competition to get selected and there are so many different stages of the application process and selection process is very strict. You literally has to be the best to get in there like a perfect 4/4 GPA, several publications, perfect recommendations from professors etc. Even though you have all of the above still there's no guarantee that you will get selected. So it was like a dream coming true for us once we got the email that he has been selected and since that day life started getting busier and busier. His mom and I went shopping(It was so fun to tease him with his mom btw.lol) and I spent several sleepless days planning the trip since he will be getting a Schengen Visa he can travel to other countries after the meetings as well. Finally once it's close to the date of his departure we decided to hangout little bit more coz I'm a person who stuck into him like glue and I couldn't even stand the idea of him being away for around 8000kms.

Aaaand now he's gone and I miss him..(which is obviously why I'm writing this now.) And so does his mom.. So what do we do... We chit chat about him all the day.. He is enjoying Europe and always updates us since he knows us ladies back home keep worrying about his solo journey.

Also he doesn't forget to show me all the food he eat so I'm craving for them here.. 🍕🍝🍹haha.. 😋

It kills me to think that he is away from me so I keep myself busy. I study, I sing, I cook and I might be blogging as well. I usually keep a diary coz it's the best stress reliever and I think in next few days I will use the blog as my diary. It might be boring for you guys to read a diary of a 24 year old, but I think it would be nice to create moments which will last for a long time for us to see when we grow old.

I know you will be reading my blog. So I want you to know that I miss you a lot and counting fingers until you return home safely. Enjoy every moment while you are there and collect memories to share with us once you come back. 💓

Good books for students studying for GCE A/L examination...

As we all know A/Ls is a very tough exam and you will not be able to finish it successfully by just studying. It needs practice, timing and all.So the best way to do it is do exercises and improve knowledge,i did A/Ls in physical science stream and in sinhala medium,so based on my experience i will recommend anyone to use following books. There may be books better than following list, but books below were used by me. Chemistry almost every book by hemachandra basnayaka Akabanika rasayanaya by Aruna Bandara (there are two books for inorganic chemistry, these books will help you in for the doubts you will have in doing mcqs) Akabanika rasayana pilibanda gunathmaka ha pramanathmaka wishleshanaya by Ranga gunarathna(this also will help you in mcqs) Organic chemistry by jayathilaka(this book is very good and it will help you to understand concepts in organic chemistry better) Physics Prof D.D.N balo dayas' books yanthra vidyawa by lakshaman dissanayaka(questionsin this book  are

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on

How to get 90+ for GCE A/L Chemistry paper..

Well  for most of the people doing A/Ls in science stream, chemistry is a nightmare, especially for physical science students. So today I'm going to tell you how to write to a chemistry paper in a much different way than you always do. Well it worked for me,and you should test this way with a model paper or in a term test before you go to exam. This saves time and also you can easily score 90+.
