Be good to yourself !

After a long break I decided to write again and hope you all are safe during this unfortunate situation we all have to face. I will first give a quick update about myself... I graduated in April and now working as a TA at the University of Colombo. 😄 I got loads of emails from you guys and hope to continue writing. So first of all thank you all for your feedbacks. If you want me to write on certain topics do not hesitate to contact me!

Today I'm going to talk about a good practice I learned recently. Of course it was there for hundreds of years and I heard a lot of people talking about it. I realized it's importance only recently and today I'm going to educate you of this miraculous discovery.

It is none other than "self love". My anatomy lecturer always used to say "Students, treat yourselves nicely. Don't be so hard on yourselves. Treat your body kindly." But I was too busy living my life, working so hard to please others, putting myself behind.. Stressing my body to a breaking point until I realized that I have to take care of myself, and nobody other than myself can do it. The moment you start pampering yourself, trust me a whole new world opens up. Go out and have a walk, buy that dress you always wanted, spend some relaxing time under the shower, read that book on your shelf, take yourself on a picnic. It feels so good when you make yourself a first priority and take care of yourself than accommodating other people, prioritizing their needs while your mental and physical health is affected drastically. Some may argue that it is selfish. It is indeed if we go way beyond a certain limit, but self care in general, isn't toxic. Instead it's rewarding. You will feel a boost of energy rushing through your body and an increase of productivity. Start to look good not for others, but for yourself. Wear that dress, put on some makeup.

People will notice how different you look, how vibrant you are.. It's a life saver.. Just try and let me know.. 💓 Stay safe everyone...!!!

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
