An anti cancer diet

Cancer has become a major health issue around the world and we have failed to find a proper solution for cancers yet.So the only thing we can do is to prevent cancers.First of all lets see what is a cancer.

What is a cancer?

A cancer is an abnormal growth of cells and it is generally thought to develop in 2 major steps,The first triggered by an initiator and the second caused by exposure to a tumor promoter over a period of years.

In Japan the incidence of stomach cancer is very high, while that of bowel cancer is low.But when Japanese emigrates to Hawaii this is reversed, the rate of stomach caner is reduced in the next generation.
Women living in the United states have a higher rate of breasts cancers than those in Asia.

All these maybe related to nutrition.

The diets in Japanese in Hawaii are different from those in Japan and the diets of American women are higher in fat than Asian diets.
According to studies made in different parts of the world, the incidence of breast, colon and prostate cancer is significantly low among people who eat lots of vegetables.

Now lets see what is in an anti cancer diet...

Seed vegetables

Those vegetables whose edible parts are seeds or tubers such as dried beans, chickpeas, cereal grains, potatoes contain compounds that seem to intercept the activity of tumor promoters.Because many people eat some seed vegs everyday the protection against cancers must be a matter of quantity consumed. So try to consume more seed vegetables to make yourself safe from cancer.

The cabbage family

The cabbage family which includes cauliflower, broccoli and brussels sprouts contains a group of compounds known as indoles and that compounds will help you to stay away from cancers.

Vitamin A family

The nutrients most studied in cancer prevention are natural vitamin A and beta carotene.Beta carotene is found in deep yellow fruits such as apricots, carrots and sweet potatoes and dark green vegetable like spinach, kale and broccoli.Natural vitamin A is present in animal foods such as whole milk, liver and egg yolks.

So add above food groups to your meal and stay healthy!!!

More tips to say good bye to cancer

  • Avoid using alcohol
  • Stop smoking
  • Always consume foods made using natural fresh vegetables and fruits instead of instant food

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
