Tips for online classes

The new normal, covid 19 has forced us into move all our study sessions;schools, tuition classes and even university lectures into online form. This has its own advantages as well as disadvantages. In my opinion it has provided a platform for students who perform well, to ace the studies while for average or badly performing students to distract themselves more. Therefore I thought of giving you some tips to manage and balance your daily routine and studies more efficiently. Without further ado lets get started.

First of all I am sure that you are chilling at home and move even lesser than you used to while consuming more food. Therefore the first thing to have in mind is to maintain your health. Make sure you eat healthy and workout regularly. I can't stress enough the importance of taking care of your health. You live in this body which you have to take care of so well because if it gets sick, there is no point of the marks you had and the exams you passed. Also to study well, a good health is important. So make sure to eat healthy, drink enough water and to workout. And I am sure that you are spending more and more time infront of your computer or with your tab/phone. So give your eyes a break at least once per hour or you are gonna get bad eyesight.

Next thing is to stay organized. My tip is to use a journal. I always used to have to do lists and list of things I accomplished but never a journal. I only came across it recently and apart from helping me keep things organized and tracked, it also helps me to relieve my stress. I spend a good amount of time arranging the journal weekly in a very fancy way. It is so self satisfying and I'm sure you will enjoy that too. Incorporate workout sessions, skin care routines into your lifestyle and you will not regret.

Also many students complained that they are getting distracted during those hours long lectures. I mean it's natural right... If you are in a lecture hall with hundreds of students it is less likely to be bored than when you are home, alone in your room listening to a lecture which you can also watch later on the LMS. To avoid this you have to be prepared beforehand. The day before the lecture prepare for it. Use the lecture materials you are given and the reference books to understand and make a note by yourself. So the lecture will be like a revision and you will easily relate to it. The lecture will be about the things you already know and you are less likely to zone out. Also keep a water bottle next to you so you will stay hydrated through out the lecture.

It is natural to get stressed because you are confined to a room or a house 24 x 7 and it is important to be healthy mentally as well as physically. So make sure to watch a movie, listen to a song and even sing once in a while. Meditate, read books.. Do whatever you like to make yourself happy...

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
