California House of horrors..

California House of Horrors: Timeline of Shocking Abuse Case | PEOPLE.com

A  911 call from a 17 years old girl on January 14th 2018 revealed a horrifying stories that later made into international headlines. The teenager said twelve siblings, ages ranging from 2 to 29 were held captive in their own house by their own parents and it took her two years of planning to run away... Insane, right? Lets dig into it.

David Allen Turpin was born on 17th October 1961 in West Virginia and he graduated from Princeton High School in West Virginia in 1979. He graduated from Virginia Tech as a computer engineer and worked for Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. Loise Anna Robinette was born on 24th May 1968 in Princeton and attended the same high school until 1985. Her sister once stated that Loiuse and a female cousin was sexually harassed by their maternal grandfather and their mother accepted cash in return for the sexual abuse. The sister further said, later on Louise was obsessed with witchcraft, satanic rituals and ouija boards too.

Twenty three years old David Alan Turpin and sixteen years old Loiuse Anna Turpin got married in Pearisburg, Virginia in 1985 and  David Turpin was a computer engineer who graduated from Virginia Tech. This couple were adherents of Quiverfull movement and Pentecostalism and it is said that they kept having children because god asked them to. They had 10 daughters and three sons and they named each child beginning with the letter J. In 1999 they left Fort Worth, Texas to Rio Vista and again left that area in 2010. When they finally left that house, what neighbours found was bizarre. They found human feces and beds with ropes tied into them and piles of garbage around the property. Below is a video I found on YouTube about that house by KSAT 12.

They then settled in Perris, California and neighbours noticed that the Turpin children were very silent and appeared malnourished. Some residents even saw them picking up rubbish around their home and looking for food in bins. Some even didn't know there were kids in that house. It is said that they kept the children starving while the parents ate well. They tormented the kids by leaving apple and pumpkin pies on the kitchen counter even though they were not allowed to eat the pies. They beat and strangled the kids as they please and they were only allowed to shower once per year. The eldest child who was 29 years old had the look of a teenager and weighed only 37 kgs. There were toys in the house but in original packaging. They could only look at the toys and not play with them. However the parents gave them journals where they wrote the abuse.Police discovered hundreds of journals filled with tears and abuse upon investigation.
When the police arrived at the house several children were shackled to beds with chains and padlocks and they said the parents kept them like that for weeks. They lack knowledge in even very common things. However the couple loved Disneyland and there are a couple of pictures of the whole family in Disneyland wearing matching T shirts. Also there is another photo of Turpin getting married in Las Vegas.

The Turpins and the 13 children who cops allege were found shackled to beds

The police immediately hospitalized the kids and the parents were arrested. They were planning on leaving to Oklahoma at the time of the arrest. Turpin parents were charged with twelve counts of torture, twelve counts of false imprisonment, seven counts of abuse of a dependent adult and six counts of child abuse. Turpin father received an additional charge of a lewd act on a child under 14.  They were sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole after 25 years. Turpin children were moved to a home in rural California where they can reunite with each other and live a normal life. Currently their attorney is working with local universities to create and educational plan for all of the siblings. Lets hope they will cherish the rest of their lives with happiness and with love...

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
