End semester exams...

Hmmm.... These days people in my university are so busy coz the end semester exams are in next month.. They are looking for notebooks, papers and so many other stuff.. It seems to me that most people are stressed. There might be some lucky individuals who may get stimulated coz of stress, but most people are worse than how they normally are, when stressed. So what I think is that getting tensed is not what is required at the moment.
If you missed some lectures (or so many lecs ;) ) just don't panic. There maybe so many others who didn't understand a single thing though they went to each and every lecture in that particular course. So just be happy that you saved some time :) . Check what are the reference books given by the lecturer and try to find a note. If you can't find a note just don't worry about it. Refer some books and make a note yourself (Actually that is better coz writing things yourself is much better than a photocopy of some other students note.). Find past papers and have an idea about the areas they question always and focus more about those areas when you study... When you feel tired or when you want to give up, just think about why you entered to a university, what were your hopes when you first came through those gates, what were your goals and do you still want to achieve it... It will keep you motivated..

Managing your stress levels is the most important thing in an exam.. A stressed person will always get bad marks (That's a sort of a universal truth.) So I will give you some tips to manage stress levels.
  • Maintain sleeping patterns. (Don't start weird studying habits when an exam is near.. you will end up having bad results.)
  • Develop a time management plan.( There are plenty of time management stuff on net.For an example there are some apps which you can use on your smartphone, laptop, tab or PC..I use my study life.. :)
  • When studying make sure to get small breaks per every hour.( I explained a lot about this matter in a previous post. To read it click HERE.)
  • If you feel like you need professional help don't think twice before seeking help from counselors. I'm sure every university has counselors, so think twice about asking their help.
Aha, and one more thing.. there maybe some people who are trying to ruin your mentality by saying negative stuff. Just ignore them.. They might be jealous at you or want to feel you down so they'll make it an advantage. A university there are so many people with different ideas, family backgrounds and so many other different characteristics. So when you hang out with people or when you are se lecting friends just be careful not to select back stabbers  as your friends. It's actually something which is not related to this topic.. But I just thought to mention it here..After all this blog is all about my thoughts... :) So GOOD LUCK all my friends... Hope you'll do your best in this exam..

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on ...
