Since A/L examination is starting in few days I thought of writing a quick post about something related to A/Ls. I will be explaining Doppler Effect and how to do calculations using formulas easily. This was taught to me by my Physics teacher in school who also happened to be my class teacher. Literally she is the best Physics teacher I had in my life and I didn't even need tuition classes for Physics. (She insisted me on practicing more problems so I went to a Physics class where the teacher focused more on questions than theory.) But I learned all the theories and how to apply them from her. So today I'm gonna share with you one of her lessons. It will get you full marks on your Doppler effect question in paper. 

As a person who lived in Colombo 03 and a student of the University of Colombo, I often came across Alfred House Gardens, Alfred House Road, Alfred House Avenue, Alfred Place signboards and wondered what is this Alfred House. And I always forgot to search until I started reading "Colombo" by Mohan Raj Madawala. As you all know I'm a bookworm and once I get my hands on a book I stop everything and start reading it. So while I was reading suddenly Alfred House popped up. I was like.. wait. Is this the same Alfred House we are talking about? So I immediately googled Alfred House... and boy there it is. So I was reading a book about Alfred House while I was in a land once belonged to Alfred House? (I read it while in the place I used to stay at Colombo 03) It felt so crazy to think about it at that moment. About 150 years ago it was the Alfred House garden. I started imagining flowers, fountains, gardeners working in the garden etc.. And all of a sudden I wanted to know ...

Well, we all know that MacDonald's is famous for its hashbrowns. So I tried to prepare homemade hashbrowns.. And guess what. It has a heavenly taste..😋 It doesn't take much time and you only need potatoes, onions, an egg and flour to make these yummy hashbrowns.

But I can clearly remember Radiant way English book that I used to read in Nursery. I literally read everything which has letters printed/written in and my mom thought it's a good idea to get me the membership of local library. By the second grade I finished reading all the books in the library and wanted more. So mom bought me books.. It was a habit of us to visit the local bookstore at least once a month. Soon books started piling up but was that enough for me? NO... I wanted more.. and more books. As a result of collecting books for about 18 years I have a huge library in my house and also proud to say that I won the 4th place of an all island library competition when I was in seventh grade.
