Ravana,the king of helanka...

Everybody in Sri Lanka and India know about Ravana through ramayan, right? But is the story in Ramayana true?Does it hide anything from us?Well Ramayana is the story from Indian side,How many of you know about that story from Sri lankan side?
The information in this series of posts are gathered from several books,tv programs and magazines, and some are Sri Lankan folklores.and i visited  most of the places mentioned in these posts. So are you ready to start a journey to few thousands of years back...Here you go....

Ravana aka Dasis Ravana was a king (I'd like to say an emperor) lived in Sri Lanka(at that time it was helanka) about 7500 years ago.The meaning of "Dasis"is ten areas, many people misunderstand this as ten heads, but it is wrong.According to many sources king Ravana ruled a part of India,a part of China,North east Asia and several other countries.
King Ravana had a good knowledge about medicines, and he was a very intelligent person, and Ravana and sri lankan people in that era worshiped Sun.They believed that its the power source behind everything,(it's true isn't it?trees absorb solar power and all the other living beings consume that energy)So they were called "Surya Vanshika"people.

In sri lankan folklore there are interesting stories which can change the whole image of Ramayana, and the things hidden by Ramayana author, like Seetha is Ravanas' daughter.I will see you in a next post about that story and about Ravanas flying machines and his airports.

How to survive A/Ls in 3 months...

Today is the first of May and there are exactly three months until GCE A/L exams begin. I intend to help people who has realized this and started panicking and feeling lost, but not only A/L students but also any student with any upcoming exam can use these tips to ace your exam. I will first explain why most of us usually wait until the day before deadline to do stuff. It's explained by Parkinson's law which states that " Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion". What it means is, if we are given a week to finish a task we will finish it within the week and if we are given an year to finish the same task we will spend the whole year doing it. Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
