- Tea bags
You can use tea bags to dry out sweaty feet and canker sores.Tannic acid in tea acts as an astringent which helps feet stay dry and less odor prone.
- Ginger
Ginger can quiet and ease cold symptoms. It has a calming effect on stomach.Make a ginger tea by simmering three to four thin slices of ginger root in two cups of water for ten minutes and cover and let it steep for about 15 minutes. You can add honey or lemon for a better taste. If you want a tonic to stimulate digestion take dried orange peels, cloves and rosemary in equal amounts and add a teaspoon of the whole mix per cup of ginger tea and let steep for ten minutes.
For chest congestion and mild bronchitis, wet a wash cloth in warm ginger tea and put it on your chest and cover with a towel.
- Baking soda
- Cayenne pepper
For sinus infections fill a pan with ice and water and and another with hot water.Lie on your back and dip a wash cloth in the hot water and wring it slightly, place it over your forehead and cheeks leaving it there a minute and then dip another cloth in the ice water and repeat.Going through ten cycles will really help you.
For toothaches instead of applying ice directly to the tooth, gently rub the web of tissue between your thumb and forefinger for about 5 minutes.
