When I first asked their names, the first person said his name was Jim.The second person told me that his name was not Jim and the third person said he was not Harry.
If two of them were foreigners what is the name of the native?

Answers

1.The number of divisions of the scale below the water level is independent of the water level in the lake. Therefore, the boat remains underwater up to the 5 mark.

2. 3 and 5 birds.

3.Mr Bill's son.

4.There are 6 people altogether. They are father, mother, their son and daughter and the mother's parents.

5.In 1 hour the monkey actually climbs only 1 metre,After 8 hours it has climbed 8 metres. After 9 hours it would have reached the top of the tree.

6.The statements made by Jack and Peter are contradictory. Therefore one of them is false.Hence,Tim's and Ken's statements are true and so Jack is responsible for the theft.

7.He can make 5 cigarettes out of the 25 ends and one more from the ends of these 5 .Hence he can make a total of six cigarettes.

8.He is back at the North pole.

9.Three quarters of the brick weighs 600g.Therefore 1 1/2 bricks weigh 1200g

10.There are 2 foreigners and one native.Hence only one of them is telling the truth.Assume that the 1st person is telling the truth, then the second person is lying and this is a contradiction.Next if the second person is telling the truth the third person has to be harry, the first is Eddy and this is again a contradiction. Finally assume the 3rd person's statement is true. Then the third person is Eddy.Hence Eddy is the native.

Well that's how usually us, lazy humans work. Now that you know what happened there is no time to regret about how we procrastinated on unnecessary things etc. Now it's time to damage control. I will not gurantee you will get 3As by following these. (It's possible depending on
